On July 1, 2022, the State of Missouri launched the Missouri Empowerment Scholarship Accounts Program known as MOScholars. It provides state tax credits in exchange for contributions to approved, non-profit Educational Assistance Organizations (EAOs). EAOs then use the contributions to award scholarships to Missouri students living in low-income households or those on Individualized Education Programs.
