New Board Member

ronald-henderson_headshotThe board of the Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation has elected Ronald Henderson, former City of St. Louis Chief of Police, to serve as a member of the Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation Board.

 

“I am deeply committed to the future of the city of St. Louis and firmly believe that education is the cornerstone of any great community,” said Henderson. “The Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation is doing a marvelous job helping underserved families in St. Louis by making a quality elementary education available to them. I’m honored to join the board.”

 

Chief Henderson spent his entire career in law enforcement, retiring as Chief of Police for the City of St. Louis in 2001. Upon retirement he was appointed U.S. Marshall in 2002. Ron serves as President of the St. Elizabeth Mother of John the Baptist Parish Men’s Club, currently serves a member of the Archdiocesan Finance Council, Archdiocesan Pastoral Council, and is past President of Catholic Charities.

 

steven-brown-headshotThe board of the Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation has elected Steven Brown, Principal and Chief Executive Officer, Balke Brown Transwestern to serve as a member of the Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation Board.

 

“I have seen the value of a quality education in my life and in the lives of my employees,” said Brown. “A quality education can change families for generations, and I look forward to continuing the 24 year tradition of the Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation by helping children of the city of St. Louis, especially those in low-income families, receive a quality education in a safe, caring and academically challenging environment.”

 

A native St. Louisan, Steve has been with Balke Brown Transwestern for thirty years where he has sponsored more than $500 million of commercial real estate investment in the region. He is the recent past president of the St. James the Greater School board where he saw the direct benefits of the TTEF mission. Steve and his wife Diane have been married 31 years and have 4 young adult children.

“I am committed to the future of the city of St. Louis and the region and firmly believe that education is the cornerstone of any great community,” said Dierberg. “The Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation helps low-income families in St. Louis by making a quality education available to them and I’m honored to join the board and support the education of underserved children.”

I’m honored to join the board.”

“I believe that education is the cornerstone of any great community and the key to a viable workforce,” said Twardowski. “The Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation offers the parents of underserved families a choice and children a chance and I’m honored to join the board.”

 

Twardowski currently serves in the role of President, Whelan Security, a family owned andoperated contract security company headquartered in St. Louis. With more than 5,000 full-time employees providing service throughout much of the country, Whelan Security ranks as one of the top five privately held contract security companies operating in the United States (and one of the top ten when including publicly held competitors).
