Job Title:   Development Manager


Agency:   Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation (TTEF)

The Development Manager is responsible for the development and fundraising for the Archdiocesan Elementary Schools which include:  Most Holy Trinity School and Academy, St. Cecilia School and Academy and St. Louis Catholic Academy.   These schools are located in the City of St. Louis and educate an under-served population.  The schools are supported by the Archdiocese of St. Louis and funding from private individuals and organizations.  This role is integral in establishing relationships and community partnerships for the school.  The Development Manager will have a portfolio of donors and be expected to raise funds for the schools.


The Development Manager will split time between each school location and have an office at Rigali Center in Shrewsbury

Duties & Responsibilities may include:

  • Direct, maintain, and expand the annual giving of donors
  • Identify, educate, cultivate and solicit funding sources from the constituencies of the Archdiocesan Elementary Schools
  • Work closely with Sr. Advancement Director to steward and cultivate donors across the organization
  • Establish and identify program resources and opportunities to share with the school educators
  • This role represents the schools at various functions and events
  • This role reviews and assists with grant proposals and grant progress reports
  • Manage relationships with outside constituents including principals, faculty and employees of the Catholic Education Office, and ministry teams
  • Manage a portfolio of about 100 donors through the fundraising cycle
  • Direct AES events with support from the Advancement Services team
  • With assistance of Principals, work and coordinate with school volunteers to ensure their programs and service is successful
  • Work in close coordination with Advancement Services team to assure giving efforts and events work seamlessly
  • Work with the Communications Officer to develop AES communications, including  newsletters, e-newsletters, marketing materials and social media plan
  • Work with the Advancement Services team to ensure all gifts are recorded properly
  • Prepare and maintain an annual plan of action and operational calendar for AES schools
  • Share information about development projects and programs with the faculty and staff and collaborate efforts with them where appropriate



  • Bachelor’s degree; supplemented with 2-3 years of development experience
  • Experience with donor database or Raiser’s Edge a plus
  • Self-starter and willingness to roll up sleeves
  • Having worked in a school environment a plus
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with volunteers and donors
  • Knowledge of various prospect research methods
  • Commitment to Catholic education and the TTEF mission
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexibility and a “can-do” attitude
  • Must have own car and insurance
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and to lift 25lbs
