Job Title:   Cardinal Ritter College Prep (CRCP) Director of Advancement


Agency:   Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation (TTEF)


Position Reports to:  TTEF Executive Director


Position Summary


The CRCP Director of Advancement works as a member of the TTEF team and the CRCP school community to advance the mission of Cardinal Ritter College Prep and the Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation.  The Director assists in planning and implementing all aspects of the advancement plan for Cardinal Ritter College Prep. The Advancement Director reports directly to the TTEF Executive Director.   The President of CRCP will provide supervision when the Advancement Director is working on site at CRCP.



Shared Departmental Responsibilities


The Director of Advancement is a member of the CRCP and TTEF teams and as such, shares responsibility for:


  • Superior service and relationships with all internal and external constituents
  • Participating as a cooperative team member, respecting the time, commitment, duties and responsibilities of fellow team members
  • Demonstrating professionalism and exercising stewardship of the resources and reputation of the CRCP and TTEF
  • Actively supporting the mission of Cardinal Ritter College Prep and the Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation



Duties and Responsibilities


  • Maintain a portfolio of 100 major gift donors and prospects to achieve predetermined financial goals.
  • Oversee the formation and growth of the Annual Fund, including the Joe Wiley Society and the Leon Henderson Scholarship Fund.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward annual donors
  • Facilitate prospective donor cultivation to meet or exceed CRCP Gala sponsorship goals, Fund-A-Need goals, and attendance goals.
  • Serve as a liaison between TTEF and CRCP to ensure proper planning and execution of the CRCP Gala.
  • Collaborate and serve as a resource for the President on all CRCP advancement efforts.
  • Provide President with background information on donors and prospects prior to cultivation and solicitation meetings.  Prepare materials such as proposals and confirmation letters for President’s follow-up activities with donors and prospects.
  • Oversee and organize cultivation and donor recognition events including but not limited to planning, execution, and follow up strategies.
  • Provide statistics, student outcomes and stories, and other information needed for all donor communications and grant applications.
  • Serve as liaison for direct mail pieces and donor communications.




Knowledge and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
Professional development experience, including major gifts
Minimum of 7 years of development experience
