Leslie C. Tucker Joins the Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation as Development Director of Archdiocesan Elementary Schools

ST. LOUIS – Leslie C. Tucker has joined the Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation (TTEF) as Development Director for Archdiocesan Elementary Schools. In this role, Leslie is responsible for the development, fundraising and marketing efforts for three Archdiocesan Elementary Schools, including Most Holy Trinity School and Academy, St. Cecilia School and Academy, and St. Louis Catholic Academy. Leslie will also be responsible for cultivating community partnerships and relationships to further the mission of each school.

TTEF Executive Director Sharon Gerken noted, “We are so pleased to welcome Leslie to our team. Leslie has been working in fundraising for over twenty years, most recently as Development Director for FamilyForward [formerly Children’s Home Society]. Her unique perspective and experience will be an asset to the Archdiocesan Elementary Schools, as she builds upon each school’s key relationships with donors, friends, and partners – ultimately creating a brighter future for our students.”

Leslie graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts. Her son Jacob is a senior at Rockhurst University, and she recognizes the importance of a faith-based education from a first-hand perspective.  Leslie is excited to take on this new opportunity noting that, “For the past two decades I have had the privilege of fundraising for St. Louis organizations who provide critical supports and resources for children and families in our community. Children have always been at the heart of my personal mission and becoming part of this amazing team provides me with an opportunity to continue that work,” says Leslie.

Antonia Ponder has served as Development Director for the Archdiocesan Elementary Schools since 2014, and has accepted a new position with the Society of the Sacred Heart United States-Canada Province as their Chief Operating Officer. Her last day will be March 29, 2018. “Toni has been a valued member of our team and we are most grateful for her many contributions on behalf of the Archdiocesan Elementary Schools. We congratulate Toni and wish her well in her new position,” says Sharon Gerken.

About the Archdiocesan Elementary Schools

In 2012, the Archdiocesan Elementary Schools of the Archdiocese of St. Louis was founded as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, including Most Holy Trinity School and Academy in the Hyde Park Neighborhood, St. Cecilia School and Academy in South St. Louis City, and St. Louis Catholic Academy in the Penrose Neighborhood. With the commitment of the Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation (TTEF), the Archdiocese of St. Louis, and generous donors, each school provides students a quality Catholic education that offers an opportunity for continued success in high school and beyond without creating a financial hardship for families. The three schools serve students from across the St. Louis region, and are open to all families regardless of religion or income.
